Wrapping up Gift Tags Week at Honey Bee Stamps

Wrapping up Gift Tags Week at Honey Bee Stamps - Honey Bee Stamps

Hi friends! Today, we are wrapping up Gift Tags Week by Honey Bee Stamps. I have three more tags to share. If you missed last week, I was "in stitches" sharing a few fun tags. Today, I'm continuing that theme with more "In Stitches" tags. This time, I'm sharing two sweet gingerbread and a cute wreath, too! I'm using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

In Stitches: Gingerbread Honey Cuts dies

In Stitches: Holly Honey Cuts dies

Simply Stated stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Merry Moments Paper Pad

Gallery Wall Add-On Holiday Honey Cuts dies

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured projects below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the tag base. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My tags measure 4-7/8" tall X 2-3/4" wide with simple clipped corners. You can use a die to cut them if you have a tag die or hand cut them yourself.

To make these gingerbread tags, I cut two white tags and two pattern tags using paper from the Merry Moments Paper Pad for the background. I stamped the back of the tags using the Best Ever stamp set. Next, I die cut the gingerbread people from a kraft cardstock. To warm the color, I blended Ranger Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide Ink around the edges to make it gingerbread dough color. I also used E55 and E23 Copic Markers, my white Gelly Roll pen and a fine-tip brown marker to add dots and imperfections to the cookies. If you know me, you know I'm not a big hand stitcher so instead of stitching around the perimeters, I used my fine-tip brown marker and ran it around the edge, across the stitching holes to create faux stitching lines.

For the gingerbread man, I added a Santa hat and red bow tie. I added all the accent pieces for the face and the curvy frosting lines.

For the gingerbread gal, I wanted to add clothing to make her look more different than the man. I die cut another gingerbread person from red/white striped paper (from last year's paper pad called Gingerbread Village paper pad. While this paper is not available right now, a red and white gingham would look great, too. I cut the paper piece down to look like an apron or dress. I used the frosting die cuts as ruffles around the bottom and sleeve edges. I added the face, buttons, bows and and Santa hat to the gingerbread people.

I die cut the holly leaves using the In Stitches: Holly Honey Cuts dies and green cardstock. I attached them to the tags using glue. I splattered white paint over the leaves for snow. I attached the gingerbread people to the leaves using Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab to make them stand out. I also stamped, die cut and added the sentiments using the Simply Stated stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. These two sets are so great. You stamp once and die cut once and you have all these cute sentiments in interesting shapes with professional looking edges to use on your holiday projects!

Finally, I added some red berries to the holly leaves using red Pearl Pen dots. I also punched a hole at the top and added a string tag to each one to finish the tags.

Here's a bonus tag... Using all my extra cuts, I created this red tag that features the In Stitches: Holly Honey Cuts dies and Simply Stated stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I also added the wreath from the Gallery Wall Add-On Holiday Honey Cuts dies and a white snowflake behind the the wreath to make it stand out from the holly. Lastly, falling snow using white paint is essential for this very merry tag!
