Wrapped in Blooms for December by Bobbi Lemanski - Honey Bee Stamps

Hi there crafters! It's Bobbi Lemanski sharing another card I made using the new "Wrapped in Blooms" card kit by Honey Bee Stamps. This kit is designed to make A2-sized cards, but if you follow me, you'll know I love a 5" X 7" card. I like the bigger, more commercial feel of an A7 card. The good news is that almost any A2-sized card designs can be modified to fit a 5" X 7" size. This card is a great example of that. I used the contents of the kit including all the beautiful papers to make this holiday card. I'm using the Wrapped in Blooms card kit for this card. Check out my reel on Instagram to watch me make the card here!

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Honeycomb Foam for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white acrylic pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

Using papers from the kit, I used the medium blue color for my card base and splattered it with gold metallic paint. If you are making dozens of the same card this Christmas, the splatter technique for the background is super easy and quick to do. What I like is that every card is different right from the start! I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi paint for my watercolors. The Starry metallic kit includes a beautiful palette of golds to use. These colors will last you forever! I set the base aside to dry.

Next, I die cut the white scallop layer, a lighter blue eyelet rectangle and the metallic gold band. The papers and dies are all part of the kit. For the florals, I used white for the poinsettia with a metallic gold center, ivory for the leaves with metallic gold veining (so pretty), a light blush pink for the pair of flowers and the mint green for the leaves. I also used the leaf vein layers to add a little darker brown to the bouquet. I like a little more contrast and wanted to add a few spikes to the bouquet. I blended Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink to the leaves and Worn Lipstick to the smaller flowers. I used a R22 Copic Markers for the center coloring. I layered all the florals.

The card assembly was quick. I layered everything together on the front of the card, creating a beautiful shiny bouquet, attached over the center of the band. I selected one of the sentiments from the stamp set and stamped once, and die cut three of the outline layers to make the die cut stand out at the bottom. I simply glued them together. Here's a reel to show you the layering.

Inside the card, I stamped another coordinating sentiment and also splattered some gold paint inside. It gives the look of snow falling in a festive metallic finish. It dries quickly. This card is ready for the holidays! The Wrapped in Blooms card kit is still available, but not for long! Once it is sold out, it's gone for good! Get yours today here! Check out my reel here!
