Hello, crafters and happy Tuesday!! I hope your week has started off well!! Brenda here today with a card featuring the stunning Lovely Layers: Wishing Well Die Set!! I pulled some of the dies from the Lovely Layers: Front Porch Spring Add-on Die Set to embellish the wishing well!! The entire card was created with white cardstock and ink!!
I began by die-cutting all the parts for the wishing well from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Wishing Well Die Set. I added color and shading to the die-cuts using the following Distress Inks: Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke & Black Soot. The die-cuts were all adhered together using Bee Creative Glue. The stone portion was splattered with diluted white bleed-proof ink.
The floral dies and branch in the Lovely Layers: Front Porch Spring Add-on Die Set were also cut from white cardstock. I added color to them using Distress Inks, as well, using the following colors: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Gathered Twigs, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves. They were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, then set aside so I could work on the background.
For the background, I blended Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks with blending brushes for the grass, starting darker at the bottom and blending out. The sky was created with Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon. The wishing well branch and florals were adhered to the background with Bee Creative Glue. I added some dots and squiggles to the flowers and leaves with a white gel pen to create a little more dimension.
The sentiment, from the So Special Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. It was die-cut with the Coordinating Die, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, then stacked and adhered with Bee Creative Glue to the front of the card.
I am absolutely thrilled with how this turned out!! You can’t go wrong with any of the Lovely Layers Sets, am I right?!?
