Hello, crafters and happy Tuesday!! Brenda here with you today!! I've combined several goodies from the Acorn & Ember Release for my autumn card today!! The color scheme was inspired by a floral patterned paper in the Acorn & Ember Paper Pack!! Sometimes the color scheme is the most difficult for me to decide, so using patterned paper helps a lot.
I began by choosing the paper from the Acorn & Ember Paper Pack and die-cutting it with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set. I die-cut the postage die from the Lovely Layouts: Posted Die Set from green cardstock and adhered them both to a white A2 card base with Bee Creative Glue.
The Acorn Card Base was die-cut from tan and cream cardstock. I added shading with tan and brown dye inks using blending brushes, then adhered all the die-cuts together with Bee Creative Glue. The flowers, from the In Stitches: Pumpkin Die Set were die-cut from white cardstock and the centers of the larger flowers from tan. I added shading to the larger flowers with Lost Shadow Distress Ink, the centers with dye ink and the smaller flowers with lilac dye ink. The leaves are from the Display Box: Fall Add-On Die Set. They were die-cut from green cardstock and blended with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. The leaves and smaller flowers were adhered with Bee Creative Glue and the larger flowers were popped up with foam squares. I splattered diluted gold watercolor paint over the entire piece, then set is aside to dry.
The sentiment, from the Keepsake Sentiments: Fall Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Bee Creative Clear Embossing Ink. It was embossed with polished gold embossing powder, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The acorn was adhered to the background panel with Bee Creative Glue and the sentiment was popped up with foam squares. I added a natural and gold twine bow to the top of the acorn and some white pearls from the Warm Pearls Pearl Sticker Pack for the finishing touches.
I LOVE how this turned out!! I'm so happy I let the patterned paper guide my color choices!!
