Hello, friends!! Brenda here with you today!! I'm sharing a card featuring several new products from the Perfect Picnic Release that just dropped last night!! My card today features the Lovely Layers: Citrus Honey Cuts, Berry Sweet Summer Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies, along with patterned paper from the Summer Stems Paper Pack!! There's just something about fresh lemons in the summertime, isn't there?!?
I started by die-cutting the lemons, stems, leaves and flowers in the Lovely Layers: Citrus Die Set from light yellow, kraft, green and white cardstock. I used several different sizes of blending brushes and Distress Inks to shade the die-cuts. I used Mustard Seed and Wild Honey on the lemons; Vintage Photo on the stems; Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness for the leaves and Speckled Egg to add color to the centers of the white flowers. Each element was adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. I added a bit of detail to the lemons with alcohol markers and added dots to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen.
The second largest die from the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set was used to die-cut the background from gingham patterned paper in the Summer Stems Paper Pack. A panel of light yellow cardstock was die-cut with the largest die in the same die set, then the two panels were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. The stems and leaves were arranged and adhered to the background with Bee Creative Glue, while the lemons and flowers were popped up with foam squares.
The sentiments, from the Berry Sweet Summer Stamp Set, were stamped onto white cardstock with yellow dye ink. The Coordinating Dies were used to cut them out and they were popped up with foam squares. Light pink gems from the Simply Spring Gem Sticker Pack add a bit of sparkle and finish off the card.
