There's nothing I love more than a pretty valentine. Today's card is not the stereotypical valentine in pinks and reds with cupid, roses and hearts. Instead, it is a sweet setting with a pretty way to convey love with a little twist. It goes beyond a valentine. This card could be used to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, friendship, and more.
I'm using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:
Lovely Layers: Window Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Heart Vine Honey Cuts dies
You Had Me At Coffee stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
Bold Background: Vines of Love Honey Cuts dies (On sale!)
Lovely Layers: Coffee Bar Honey Cuts dies (for the perfectly sized coffee cups)
Rustic Brick Wall 3D Embossing Folder (On sale!)
For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To create this balcony scene, I used the Rustic Brick Wall 3D Embossing Folder (On sale!) for the 5" X 7" card front panel. I lightly blended on some color using Ranger Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick. I also used a Copic BG10 to add a little blue green to random bricks. This step helps to coordinate the brick color with the heart vines in a very subtle way.
I die cut the elements of the window and balcony using the Lovely Layers: Window Honey Cuts dies, a warm gray cardstock for the window frame, a light aqua for the arched window grid and railing, and a light blush cardstock for the shutters and curtains. I used a simple gray and white pattern paper for the walls inside the window. There are a number of great papers for this application in the Vitamin Sea paper pad. Before assembling the window, I ink blended using my blender brushes (large and small), some Mermaid Lagoon on the balcony and more Worn Lipstick on the shutters. I also hand drew some rosetted on the pink curtains using Copics in R83, R81, R27 and my white gel pen. I attached the window to the front panel embossed brick using glue.

I die cut two of each layer of the Lovely Layers: Heart Vine Honey Cuts dies. I flipped the colors - light aqua top layer with a darker teal layer and then another one with the layered colors switched. I attached the first vine below the balcony. I cut the second vine up and attached it all around, filling in the gaps. I like having some of the vine grow up around the balcony sides. I clipped one heart off the vine and added it to the arched window for an accent.
Using the Bold Background: Vines of Love Honey Cuts dies, I die cut and glued in some small hearts to add to the vines. I used my white Gelly Roll pen to add white dot accents to each red heart. I also added some red pearl gem stickers to the vines using the Gingerbread Pearl Stickers. They are on sale, too!

I added two teacups to the balcony railing using the Lovely Layers: Coffee Bar Honey Cuts dies. The teacups in this set are the perfect size for this scene! I used my Copic R27 to hand draw a heart on each white cup. The cups were attached to the scene's railing using small foam tab pieces underneath each one. How cute are these cups?
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the You Had Me At Coffee stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies in Worm Lipstick and then added darker colors to the lower half of each letter to make it look multi-colored. I used Copic R22 and R14 on the sentiment letters. I also cut two more bottom layers in white to thicken the sentiment and one in red to create a red shadow a the bottom of the phrase. I attached the front panel to a white 5" X 7" card base to complete it.
