Nature's Beauty With a Heartfelt Message

Hello friends. It's Bobbi sharing a heartfelt sympathy card filled with so many elements of nature's beauty. From birds and butterflies to beautiful blooms, this card highlights the beauty we see around us. I'm also using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

For the basics... my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To create this 5" X 7" card, I cut the bird bath, birds and butterfly die cuts and assembled the items. The birdbath and birds were cut from a warm gray cardstock. The butterfly was die cut from a light blush cardstock. I added a darker pink on the butterfly's wings using and R22 Copic Sketch Marker and a Copic 100 for black on the body and wings. For the birds, I added various shades of gray, browns and golds to blend with the pattern papers. I used a white Gelly Roll Pen and a fine-tip black marker to add highlights and detailing to the birdbath, birds and butterfly. I also used Copic markers, B99, B49 and B39 to create a deep teal-colored water in the birdbath. I set the die cut images aside and worked on the background.

For the background, I attached a 5" X 7" piece of coral pattern paper from the Cottage Countryside Paper Pad to the front of the card base. I cut a white piece of cardstock measuring 4-1/2" wide X 6-1/2" tall and splattered with black watercolor ink. I attached the piece to the base. The third background layer - a beautifully printed floral with a deep teal blue background - is a pattern from the FREE BEE with Qualifying Purchase Pattern Paper Pack (see below). I attached the piece and cut some bigger ivory-colored florals from another piece in the pack. I attached the bigger blooms using foam tabs under two of them to make them stand out. I positioned them so that there were stems under the florals to make them look integrated. I attached the butterfly, bird bath and birds as well.

Lastly, I stamped in black, die cut, and attached the sentiment from the Heartfelt Condolences stamps and Honey Cuts dies
