Lovely Layers of Autumn Florals

Lovely Layers of Autumn Florals

Hi Bee friends! What a great week to celebrate and craft with the new Heartfelt Harvest release by Honey Bee Stamps. It's inspiration week and the design team will be sharing lots of ways to use these new autumn sets. This release has so many wonderful products for the fall including beautiful florals, wagons, bushels, wagon wheels, pumpkins, apples, ornate frames, patterned papers and more. Today, I'm using the following new products from the release:

Lovely Layers: Autumn Bouquet Honey Cuts dies

Lovely Layers: Dianthus Honey Cuts dies

Fancy Fall Layering Frames Honey Cuts dies

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To create my card, I splattered metallic gold ink on white cardstock for the front panel. Next, I layered two frames from the Fancy Fall Layering Frames Honey Cut dies. The larger rectangle was cut from a warm gray cardstock and the smaller, more ornate frame in a light salmon pink color. I inked the edges of the smaller frame in Distress Oxide ink in Gathered Twigs to highlight the decorative embossed scroll edge.

For the florals, I cut the dianthus from the same salmon pink cardstock inked in Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy ink. I use Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab between two layers to make them more dimensional. The florals from the Autumn Bouquet were cut from white, mustard (for the wheat stalks) and various green shades of cardstock and colored with Copic Sketch markers. I used YR31, YR21, YR24, and YR27 for the gold flowers. For the white florals, I shaded with E51, E53, E42, E43 and W2.

To complete my card, I stamped "congratulations" from the Bountiful Banner stamp set and cut it using the banner die from the Bountiful Banner Honey Cuts die set. I attached the banner using Bee Creative Foam Dots right over the stems. I plan to use this card to celebrate a friend's marriage this fall!
