Lovely Layers: Nativity Scene Christmas Card

Lovely Layers: Nativity Scene Christmas Card

Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with a card featuring the amazing Lovely Layers; Nativity Honey Cut Set!! I love all the details included in this set!!

I started by die-cutting the elements in the Lovely Layers: Nativity Scene Die Set from brown, tan, peach, white, cream, gray, black, blue and brushed gold cardstock. I used Copic markers to create the different shades of blue and gray instead of cutting them from different shades of cardstock. I used my finger to add Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to the top layer of the manger to bring out the wood grain. Each of the elements were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.

For the background, I started with a panel of light blue cardstock and blended Tumbled Glass, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot Distress Inks onto it with blender brushes. The panel was die-cut with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set. It was splattered with Bee Creative Watercolor Splatter and white bleed-proof ink. I die-cut a panel of cream cardstock with the same rectangle die and cut the top off to form the ground. I added Tea Dye Distress Ink with blender brushes, then adhered it to the blue panel. It was then adhered to an A2 white card base. I roughly figured out placement of my die-cuts, then stamped the "Peace on earth"sentiment from the Christmas Blessings Stamp Set with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and embossed it with polished gold embossing powder. All of the die-cuts were adhered with Bee Creative Glue.

I stamped another sentiment from the Christmas Blessings Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and embossed it with polished gold embossing powder. It was die-cut with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. I used a fine tip black marker to add the eye to the sheep to complete the card.

I absolutely love how this turned out and hop you do, as well!!

Thank you so much for spending a bit of your time with me today!! I appreciate it!!

Brenda
