Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda back sharing a birthday card featuring the Lovely Layers: Mini Desert Blooms Dies, Lovely Layers: Western Wear Dies and the Barbed Wire 3D Embossing Folder from the latest Sawdust & Saddles Release!!
I started by die-cutting the boot from the Lovely Layers: Western Wear Dies and the flowers and foliage from the Lovely Layers: Mini Desert Blooms Die Set from various colors of colored cardstock and Honey Gold Metallic cardstock. I used a piece of floral pattern paper from the Simply Spring Paper Pad for my color inspiration. I added some shading with Copic markers and details with a white gel pen. All the die-cuts were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, then I set them aside to work on my background.
The floral pattern paper from the Simply Spring Paper Pad was die-cut with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set. It was adhered to an A2 panel of sage green/aqua cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the same set. The fourth largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Ovals Die Set was cut from a panel of white cardstock and then embossed with the Barbed Wire 3D Embossing Folder. It was adhered to the background with Bee Creative Glue. The boot and flowers were arranged and adhered with a combination of Bee Creative Glue and foam tape.
The sentiment, from the Nailed It Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide Ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered with foam tape and Bee Creative Glue. A sprinkling of pink gems from the Homestead Harvest Gem Sticker Pack completes the card and adds a bit of sparkle.
I really love the combination of the barbed wire and boot with the floral die-cuts and pattern paper!!
