Christmas Goose at the Tree Farm by Bobbi Lemanski

Christmas Goose at the Tree Farm by Bobbi Lemanski

Christmas cheer is in full swing at the tree farm, and one festive porch goose is ready to celebrate! Wearing a bright red Santa hat, a polka dot scarf and surrounded by rows of Christmas trees, this charming goose is enjoying a beautiful blue-sky day beneath strands of colorful holiday lights. I used products from Honey Bee Stamps to create this playful handmade card, bringing together a little country charm, festive color, and plenty of holiday whimsy!

I am using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Platinum Scout Die Cutting Machine

Lovely Layers: Porch Goose Honey Cuts die set

Porch Goose Closet: Winter Honey Cuts die set

Silly Goose stamp set and coordinating Silly Goose Honey Cuts die set

Lovely Layers: Trees Honey Cuts die set

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Honeycomb Foam for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white acrylic pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this 5" X 7" card, I used Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front. Using my blender brushes (large and small), I blended on blue Distress Oxide Ink in Broken China for the background sky. I used the Platinum Scout Die Cutting Machine and the Lovely Layers: Trees Honey Cuts die set to cut three evergreen trees and two brown posts for the colored string of lights to hang from. I used cardstock from the Hive Hues Collection, Urban Roots (green) and Essentials (brown). I attached the two "poles" to the background and used a black fine-tip marker to draw the strings for the lights. I used Pearl Pen to add the lights in all different colors to the string, dropping enough to look like a colored light. You can also use a marker to add the lights, too. I added colored lights to the trees for extra festive fun. I attached the trees to the card front, layering over the string of lights.

For the goose I used the Lovely Layers: Porch Goose Honey Cuts die set to make the goose. I used Distress Oxide Ink in Antique Linen and Walnut Stain to color the goose with my smaller blender pens. The cute Santa hat and scarf is from the Porch Goose Closet: Winter Honey Cuts die set. I used cardstock from the Make It Merry Hive Hues collection. for the polka dots, I used a white pen to add the design. After assembling the goose, I attached it to the card front using Bee Creative Foam Honeycomb Foam tabs.

I stamped and die cut the "Merry Goose-mas" sentiment from the Silly Goose stamp set and coordinating Silly Goose Honey Cuts die set. I attached the sentiment to the lower right corner. I added shading to the base of the goose and trees to anchor the items to the snow base. I splattered white paint over the scene for falling snow. I attached the card front to the card base to complete the card.
