"BEE" Crafty

Hello, friends and happy Tuesday!! Brenda back with a simple card featuring the In Stitches: Bee Honey Cuts!! I thought a little play on words would be fun with the bee for a card that reads "BEE" Crafty!!

I started by die-cutting the In Stitches: Bee Dies from yellow, black and pale blue cardstock. I die-cut three layers of the bee's body and adhered them together with Bee Creative Glue before stitching the body with three strands of black embroidery thread and the wings with one strand of Metallic White Diamant Thread. I stitched mine a little different than the guide shows to fill in more of the black areas. A bit of pink ink was added to the bee's cheeks with ink that was left on my Beeluxe Blending Brush, then all the die-cuts were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. I also added a small piece of black cardstock to the back of the bee so it would show through the eyes and mouth.

For the background, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the third largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and embossed it with the Embroidered 3D Embossing Folder. I trimmed a panel of black cardstock to be slightly larger and a panel of yellow cardstock was cut out with the largest die in the same Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Die Set. I added a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the embossed background with a background blending brush. The rectangle layers were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. The bee was adhered with a combination of foam tape and Bee Creative Glue.

The sentiment was created with the Great Greetings: Crafting Die Set. The top layer was die-cut three times from heavyweight black cardstock and the shadow layer twice from yellow cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, then adhered to the front of the card. The sub-sentiment, from the Don't Worry, Be Crafty Stamp Set, was stamped onto yellow cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam tape and this card was finished.
