Hello friends. Today, my card is for all the crafters who love to stitch and sew with color, patterns, and all the necessary tools. The top half of the card has a stitching bag filled with a scissors and threads/embroidery floss, along with a thimble, pin cushion and needlepoint hoop. The bottom of the card mimics a quilt of fall patterned fabrics, sewn together to make this fall festival of color. I'm using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:
Lovely Layers: Circle Embroidery Hoop Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Shaped Embroidery Hoop Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Zipper Bag Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Stitching Elements Honey Cuts dies

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this 5" X 7" card, I started by stamping a floral design on the top half of my white card front panel. The floral design is from the Stitched With Love stamp set and I used a Morning Frost ink pad for a very subtle floral pattern background. Next, I worked on all the elements by diecutting and assembling the pieces to make the thimble, pin cushion, needles, pins, three thread cards, and scissors using the Lovely Layers: Stitching Elements Honey Cuts dies. I used an antique gold metallic cardstock for the ornate scissors and thimble. The pin cushion was cut from a floral pattern from the Fall Is In the Air Paper Pad. The needles and pins were cut from a warm gray cardstock. I colored the tops of the pins with reds - Copic Sketch R89, R27, and R14. For the embroidery floss, I used some colored baker's twine and added glue to the cardstock and wrapper the twine around it. If I had had embroidery floss, I would have used that. It would create less bulk. Unfortunately, after my house move, I can't find my colored floss!
I used the Lovely Layers: Circle Embroidery Hoop Honey Cuts dies and the Lovely Layers: Shaped Embroidery Hoop Honey Cuts dies to create the oval cross stitch. I elements from both to make this design element. I used Copic markers to make the frame's woodgrain appearance.
I also made a zippered bag to hold the embroidery floss, scissors, thimble, pin, etc. I always had a little bag I would take with me to hold the essentials. Perhaps, I have too many elements on this card, but I did it anyway! I used two pattern papers from the Fall Is In the Air Paper Pad. This paper pack is filled with beautiful prints. I accented it with a light red gingham from the pad, Happy Hearts. This is a nice staple in your craft paper space.

Now that the upper design elements are complete, I focused on the bottom. I love the handmade feel of a quilt so I "quilted" the bottom half by cutting 1" squares of pattern papers from the two pads used earlier - and Fall Is In the Air Paper Pad and the Happy Hearts paper pad. I cut, glued and then sewed between the squares using my sewing machine. You could also just add faux stitching lines if you don't have a sewing machine. In fact, I "faux sewed" on the 1/8" strip of brown edging on the top using my white Gelly Roll pen. I may even like the faux stitches more because they really show up! Either way, it gives the look of a quilt.
To complete the card, I attached all the assembled elements, layering the hoop and thimble over the bag and the pin cushion over the hoop. Too many things? Perhaps! If this was a A2 sized card, I would eliminate the bag for sure. With 5" X 7" you have just a little more room for elements.
I stamped, die cut and attached the sentiment over the quilt to complete the card. I hope you like it!
