Hello, crafters!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda here with a wedding card featuring the Lovely Layers: Cathedral Honey Cuts!! I'm stocking my stash for some upcoming weddings and thought this die set would be perfect to celebrate the big day!!
I started by die-cutting the elements for the focal point from cream, brown, dark gray, green and matte gold cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Cathedral Die Set. The bushes were cut from the same green cardstock, then I used Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks to darken the larger two die-cuts. I trimmed some pieces of pale blue cardstock to adhere behind the windows, then all the pieces were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.
For the background, I die-cut a piece of patterned paper from the Textiles & Texture Vintage Paper Pad with the largest rectangle die in the Fancy Fall Layering Frames Die Set. The second largest rectangle and the oval from the same set were cut from pearlized silver vellum. Both layers of vellum, the trees and cathedral were adhered to the background with Bee Creative Glue.
The sentiment, from the Inside: Wedding Sentiments Stamp Set, was stamped onto cream cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink. It was embossed with metallic brass embossing powder and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three additional layers from heavyweight white cardstock to adhere behind the embossed one with Bee Creative Glue, then adhered it over the top of the cathedral and this card was finished.
Although the Lovely Layers: Cathedral Die Set was released in the holiday release, paired with a wedding sentiment it creates a beautiful wedding card!!
