Vintage and Very Merry Favorites

Vintage and Very Merry Favorites - Honey Bee Stamps

It's the big release.... the Christmas holiday release filled with a Santa Claus, a church, evergreens, hot cocoa mugs, nutcrackers, a snowman and more. Today, I am sharing the new Lovely Layers: Vintage Snowman Honey Cuts dies and he is soooo cute. It's all from the Merry Moments release available now at Honey Bee Stamps

My card features the following Honey Bee Stamps products

Lovely Layers: Vintage Snowman Honey Cuts dies

Lovely Layers: Sleigh Bell Honey Cuts dies

Warm Wishes stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Merry Moments Paper Pad

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

Vintage Snowman Layered Card

To make this 5" X 7" card, I used a paper from the Merry Moments Paper Pad for the backdrop. This fun little village scene is the perfect setting to build a snowman in the foreground of  this scene card. I used white glitter cardstock to hand cut some simple hills in the foreground. I adhered them to the pattern paper. My background is done!

To make the snowman, I hand cut the snowman parts including the scarf, hat, holy, snow base, nose, mittens, arms and face. I used Copic Sketch markers and Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick to enhance the dimensional markings in the scarf. For the mittens, I used my white Gelly Roll pen to add faux knitted stitches so the pink solid mittens. The holly and berries were cut and attached to the black top hat. The carrot nose was cut from white cardstock and colored using R07, YR68 and YR15.  I assembled all the elements and attached the snowman to the background using foam tabs.

To finish the card, I used the Lovely Layers: Sleigh Bell Honey Cuts dies to create the pinecone and evergreen branches. I used white glitter cardstock for the pinecone's snow layer.  I attached the foliage and cone at the base of the snowman and then added the sentiment using a foam tab. I stamped the "Warm holiday wishes" sentiment from the Warm Wishes stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies using Bee Creative Intense Black Ink.

The last step to finish this card front panel is the snow! Let it snow, let it snow....I splattered white paint over the entire card front to create a very organic snowfall over the elements, including Mr. Snowman. I adhered the front to a white card base.

Another Vintage Favorite - Santa Claus

Like the new vintage snowman? How about this Santa Claus? I made this card using the same supplies I used for the snowman AND the new Lovely Layers: Vintage Santa Honey Honey Cuts dies. I love how this turned out. Santa is so cute! You might just want to get this die set, too!
