Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with a card that's not very fun to create, although I love how it turned out. I have a really good friend that lost her husband (also a really good friend of mine) to a fatal motorcycle accident in September. Although I see her every couple of weeks, I like to pop a card in the mail every once in a while to brighten her day and let her know that she's on my mind. This would also make a great sympathy card or be perfect for someone recovering from surgery or an accident.

I began by die-cutting the Bold Background: Chinoiserie Dies from white cardstock. I added shading with Bundled Sage and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Inks using detail blending brushes. All the layers were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.

The largest die in the Fancy Fall Layering Frames Die Set was cut from pale pink polka dot paper from the Pinstripes & Polka Dots: Holiday Paper Pad. The chinoiserie die-cut was adhered with Bee Creative Glue. The largest heart in the Lace Heart Layering Frames Die Set was cut from pearlized silver vellum.

The sentiment is a combination of the Great Greetings: Friend Die Set and the Get Well Soon Stamps & Dies. The top layer of "Friend" was die-cut once from pink cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut from heavyweight white cardstock three times, then the layers were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. The rest of the sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with pink dye ink using the Get Well Soon Stamp Set. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered together. The sentiment was adhered to the vellum heart and then adhered to the background, adding Bee Creative Glue behind the die-cuts only. A diagonal sprinkling of True Pearls Pearl Stickers finish off the card.

I love the the soft colors!! I hope this reminds my friend that I'm here for her!!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
