Firepits, Woods and Beer?!

Firepits, Woods and Beer?!

Hello friends! Have you seen the new Sawdust and Saddles release by Honey Bee Stamps? I have never seen so many new and unique die and stamps sets. I got busy putting a few together including a long-haired cow and this cool firepit. I'm using the following new items:

Lovely Layers: Firepit Honey Cuts dies

Nailed It stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Lovely Layers: Trees Honey Cuts dies  (from a previous release)

Lovely Layers: Hooves and Horns Honey Cuts dies

For the basics... my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To create this 5" X 7" card, I started by making the trees and firepit. I die cut all the elements from green and brown cardstock scraps for the evergreens and trunks. I used a kraft cardstock for the firepit and white cardstock for the fire, s'mores, marshmallows and twigs. I used my blender brushes (large and small) with Distress Oxide Ink in Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, and Carved Pumpkin for the flames. I used brown Copic Markers to color the marshmallows and s'mores. I enhanced the firepit with Walnut Stain ink and Copic Markers, too.

To create the scene, I ink blended Faded Jeans and Black Soot at the top of my 5" X 7" card front panel to create the sky. I ink blended Walnut Stain on the bottom for sandy grounds. I added stars in the sky by adding white dots using my white Gelly Roll pen. I attached the trees and added additional trees in the scene by drawing in lighter, thinner trunks behind the trees. I sprinkled on some water over the ground to make it less perfect. I attached the firepit over the grounds. I added brown spots for dirt/stones. I attached the s'mores and marshmallows to the edge of the firepit.

Lastly, I stamped and die cut the sentiments from the set, Nailed It stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies and attached them over the trees to complete the card front. I attached it to a white card base.
