Hello, Honey Bee friends!! I don't make a lot of Halloween cards, but when I do, I tend to go for the sweet spooky instead of totally spooky. I made this cute ghost from the Lovely Layers: Trick Or Treat Honey Cuts extra sweet by adding sweet pink touches to her costume. These new products are from the wonderful autumn release called Acorn & Ember.

The ghost in the Lovely Layers: Trick Or Treat Honey Cuts was super easy to make! I die cut the layers mostly from white cardstock except the legs and eyes that I cut from black cardstock. The sash with the bow is actually shown as part of the witch's costume. But I thought that it was perfect for my sweet ghost!
I used Distress Inks to color and shade the ghost and accessories. The colors I used here are Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, and Lost Shadow. For layer that goes behind the pumpkin candy holder I just colored it with a black Copic marker.
After I used Bee Creative glue to adhere the ghost's layers together, I added black foam adhesive to the back and set it aside to work on the background.

Here is where I pulled out some older favorites! I placed an A2 white cardstock panel to the side of the Farmhouse Fields Scene Builder die and ran it through my die cutting machine.
Then I used the Farmhouse Fields stencils and blending brushes to color through the stencils with Distress Inks. TIP: On all of the layers, except the tree trunk, I used a mid-tone gray ink to give the colors a little darker, more nighttime, feel. The Distress Ink colors I used are: Rustic Wilderness, Mowed Lawn, and Gathered Twigs.
The sky is a panel of indigo cardstock embossed with the Tangled Web 3D embossing folder. I inked the edge with Black Soot Distress Ink and trimmed it so the main portion of the web would show. I added white opaque watercolor splatters and glued it to my A2 card base.
Next, let me just say, I LOVE the new Sentiment Studio: Halloween stamp and the coordinating Sentiment Studio: Strips die! YES, one die to cut out ALL of the sentiments! I stamped it with black pigment ink and cut it out with the die. How awesome is it to get so many sentiments in two steps?!!
Be sure to check out the Sentiment Studio: Halloween stamp set and Coordinating Honey Cuts Bundle!!
The cute little bats are from the Lovely Layers: Toil & Trouble die set. I used black foam adhesive to adhere them to the card.

I pretty thrilled with how this turned out! I hope you've enjoyed my tutorial and have been inspired to create your own sweet-not-spooky Halloween card with the Lovely Layers: Trick Or Treat set!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope it's an awesome day for you!
