Happy Tuesday, crafters!! Brenda back with one more autumn card before the new release drops later this week!! I finally had a chance to use the Lovely Layers: Boho Leaves Die Set and I am in love!!
I began by die-cutting the leaves in the Lovely Layers: Boho Leaves Die Set from watercolor paper. I "smooshed" Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, Seedless Preserves, Fired Brick and Mustard Seed Distress Ink pads onto my glass mat and diluted the ink with water. I pressed each leaf into the inks until I got the color that I was looking for. Once they were dry, I inked the dies with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and ran them through my die-cut machine again. This added the color to the veins of the leaves. I used a blending brush to add more Gather Twigs ink around the outside of each leaf. decorative doily-like accents were cut from cream cardstock and blended with Antique Linen Distress Ink, also using a blending brush, then adhered to the leaves with Bee Creative Glue.
For the background, I die-cut a panel of cream cardstock with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and embossed it with the Soulful Season 3D Embossing Folder. I blended Antique Linen Distress Ink around the edges with a blending brush. I die-cut a panel of brown cardstock with the largest die in the same die set and adhered them together with Bee Creative Glue. The leaves were adhered, also with Bee Creative Glue and the excess was trimmed from the edges. It was then splattered with diluted gold watercolor paint.
The sentiment, from the Blessings of Fall Stamp Set, was stamped onto cream cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink. It was embossed with gold embossing powder, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three additional layers from heavyweight white cardstock and one from brown cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, with the brown layer slightly offset. I added some iridescent gems from the Homestead Hues Gem Stickers to finish off the card and add a bit more shine.
I love the boho, distressed feel!!
