“Press for Champagne: A Card That Pops with Luxury” by Bobbi Lemanski

“Press for Champagne: A Card That Pops with Luxury” by Bobbi Lemanski - Honey Bee Stamps

A fun new trend is placing a “Press for Champagne” push button right in your luxe closet or your trendy dining room. It started as a famous, iconic service feature at the London restaurant, Bob Bob Ricard, where each dining booth is equipped with a button that, when pressed, notifies staff to deliver a glass of champagne to the table. This service feature suggests a level of luxury and fun that only a true girl baddie would love and enjoy! It makes this card the perfect greeting to help celebrate a birthday girl, bridal shower honoree, bachelorette, new bride, or college or post grad graduate.

I am highlighting this fun luxury trend in this girlie, 5" X 7" greeting featuring the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Dapper Decor stamps and coordinating Dapper Decor Honey Cuts dies

Opulent Layering Frames Honey Cuts dies

Ombre Dots Hot Foil Plate

New Years Cheers Stamps and coordinating New Years Cheers Honey Cuts dies

Lovely Layers: Sweetheart Roses Honey Cuts dies

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this 5" X 7" card, I started by creating the individual elements including stamping the beautiful gold frame from the Dapper Decor stamp set. When I saw this frame, it immediately reminded me of the "Press For..." ringers that you see on Pinterest, TV, etc. I stamped the design using Versamark Watermark Ink on metallic gold cardstock and embossed the ornate design using gold embossing powder. I die cut the design using the coordinating Dapper Decor Honey Cuts dies. I added gold pearl gem stickers to the frame for extra dimension.

For the push button, I used three layers of gold metallic circles stacked on top of each other. I used the Sweet Stacks Circle dies and a punch to create the three layers to make this push button (i.e., 3/4", 1/2" and 3/8" diameter circle layers). I did not have stamps that said "press for champagne" so I created it on my laptop, fitting it to the frame, and printed it out. Note: If you are interested in getting the "Press for Champagne" PDF I made, reply below on this blog post or direct message me on Instagram at @bobbihartdesign and I will send it to you. After printing it out, I die cut the words in an oval shape to fit it within the frame. I used an oval shape from my Hero Arts Nesting Ovals dies that fit perfectly. Honey Bee Stamps also offers the Sweet Stacks Oval dies that could work, too.

I die cut the larger pink frame using the Opulent Layering Frames Honey Cuts dies to frame the push button. Using the same pink cardstock, I also die cut multiple roses using the Lovely Layers: Sweetheart Roses Honey Cuts dies. I blended Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink on to the rose layers to help accentuate the beauty of the layered petals. I assembled four roses, one for each corner of the frame. I die cut the rose leaves from metallic gold cardstock. The background for this pink frame is a delightful pattern of gold dots made using the Ombre Dots Hot Foil Plate, my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and Gold Shiny Metallic Glimmer Foil.

To create the card's front panel background, I stamped the champagne glasses from the New Years Cheers Stamps in a random pattern using black ink. I lightly colored the flutes using Copic Markers, R81, R20, C1 and Y32. I also stamped and embossed two glasses using Versamark and gold embossing powder. I use the coordinating New Years Cheers Honey Cuts dies to cut them out. They will be layered at the bottom of the frame design.

I assembled the card as shown. I used foam tabs under the metallic gold Dapper Decor frame and the two die cut champagne flute glasses at the bottom. Using a Y26 gold Copic Marker, I added a few dots of gold here and there around the background images to complete the card.
