Have A Flawless Birthday

Hello, friends and happy Tuesday!! Brenda back with you today!! I hope those of you in the US had an amazing holiday weekend!! I created this card for my niece's birthday!! She just started her senior of high school and I think this card will be perfect for her!!

I started by die-cutting the Lovely Layers: Zipper Bag Dies from purple gingham cardstock from the Giddy for Gingham Paper Pad and purple cardstock. (I chose my color scheme based on the purple and pink patterned paper in the Free-BEE paper pack from the latest release.) All the makeup and brushes in the Lovely Layers: Zipper Bag Makeup Add-on Die Set from dark gray, light gray, purple, pink and matte gold cardstock. I added shading to the die-cuts with dye inks using Beeluxe Blending Brushes. The bristles of the makeup brushes were shaded with gray Copic markers, then all the die-cuts were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.

The patterned paper in the Free-BEE paper pack was die-cut with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set, then splattered with diluted black dye ink. I used the largest die in the same die set to die-cut an A2 panel of purple cardstock and adhered them together with Bee Creative Glue. My niece's name was die-cut from light pink, dark pink and black cardstock using the Varsity Letters Alphabet Die Set. They were stacked and adhered together, slightly offset, then adhered to the makeup bag. The bag, makeup and tools were adhered with a combination of Bee Creative Glue and foam squares. I used a metallic gold gel pen to add detail across the top of the bag where the zipper would be. A white gel pen was used to add stitching to the bag, highlights to the die-cuts and to outline the letters.

The sentiments, from the Flawless Friend Stamp Set, was stamped onto black cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink. They were embossed with white embossing powder, cut out with the Coordinating Dies and popped up with foam squares. Lots of Aurora Borealis Gem Stickers finish off the card and add a bit of bling. Every girl needs a little bling, right?

I love how this turned out and I hope my niece does, as well!!
