Hello, crafters and happy Tuesday!! Brenda back with you today!! I was inspired by the stunning pattern paper in the Cottage Countryside Paper Pad to create this birthday card!!
I began by stamping the butterflies in the All Things New Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. I selected the pattern paper that I wanted to use from the Cottage Countryside Paper Pad and colored the butterflies with peach, gray and black Copic markers to match the paper. I added some dots with a white gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.
For the background, I die-cut the pattern paper from the Cottage Countryside Paper Pad with the largest die in the Antique Layering Frames Die Set. The corner flourish dies were cut from dusty blue cardstock and the ornate oval from vellum using dies in the same die set. I wanted the debossed details on the corner flourishes to stand out more so rolled a couple of layers of Brilliant White Pigment Ink over them with a brayer. The largest die from the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set was cut from tangerine cardstock. All the die-cut layers were adhered using Bee Creative Glue.
The sentiment is also from the All Things New Stamp Set. It was stamped onto dusty blue cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and embossed with white embossing powder. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. The bodies of the butterflies were adhered with Bee Creative Glue and the wings were popped up with a single layer of foam tape closer to the bodies and a double layer on the outer part of the wings. This created a ton of dimension! I finished off the card by adding a blue pearls from the Ocean Waves Pearl Sticker Pack to the point of each of the corner flourishes.
I absolutely love this color combo!! The Cottage Countryside Paper Pad is so inspiring!!
