Happy Tuesday!! Brenda back with a floral birthday card to share with you today!! When I created my card last week, I used a couple of the hydrangeas from the Lovely Layers: Hydrangea Honey Cuts as filler for my bouquet and I was reminded how much I loved the set, so it's the star of the show on today's card!!

I began by die-cutting all the layers of the flowers in the Lovely Layers: Hydrangea Honey Cuts twice from white cardstock. I used blending brushes to add Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on the outsides of the petals and Bundled Sage Distress Ink in the center of each flower, leaving the centers of the petals white. The leaves and centers of the flowers were also die-cut from white cardstock several times. They were blended with Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks. Bee Creative Glue was used to adhere all the layers of the hydrangeas together.

For the background, I die-cut the largest scalloped edge die in the Lace Heart Layering Frames Die Set from a panel of muted sage green polka dot cardstock from the Pinstripes & Polka Dots: Outdoors Paper Pad. A panel of patterned paper in the Vintage Love Paper Pad was die-cut with the second largest die in the same die set. I adhered both layers together, then adhered them to a 4"x5.25" card base. This allows the card to have a scalloped edge. I die-cut a couple of Sweet Stacks: Ovals from the same sage green polka dot paper and adhered them to the back of the hydrangeas (so the background wouldn't be too distracting showing through the blooms). The leaves and hydrangeas were adhered to the lower, left area of the background with Bee Creative Glue and the excess was trimmed from the edges. I added some of the off-cut pieces to the upper, right corner.

The sentiment, from the You're So Extra Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. It was stamped with Kitsch Flamingo first, then I added the Picked Raspberry ink to the bottom and blotted the the top edge of the ink with a sponge dauber. The sentiment was die-cut with the Coordinating Die, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue and then adhered to the front of the card. I added Multi Medium-Matte adhesive to the centers of the hydrangeas, then sprinkled on Rock Candy glitter. Pale pink pearls from the Gingerbread Pearl Sticker Pack finish off the card.

I love how this turned out!! Perfect for my sister-in-law's spring birthday!!
Thanks so much for hanging out with me for a bit today!! I appreciate you stopping by!! Have a great week and I'll see you next Tuesday!!
