All Things New Butterfly Greeting

All Things New Butterfly Greeting

Hello! It's Bobbi Lemanski here. I'm sharing a card I made using products from Honey Bee Stamps latest release, "Cottage Countryside." There is nothing more beautiful than a butterfly. Today's card features the following new release items:

Always and Forever stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

For the basics... my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To create this A7 greeting card, I started by stamping the Always and Forever vine background stamp in a springy green color on white cardstock. I splattered watercolor paints in black and a deep orange over the ink. I added simple dotted florals to the flowers using Copic Markers in yellow (Y19) and deep orange (YR09). I set the background aside to work on the butterfly. I stamped the vine background again on white, but this time using orange ink to use in the next step.

I stamped the butterfly using the new All Things New stamps. I used the largest butterfly from the set and stamped it in black on white cardstock. I die cut the image using the coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I stamped the butterfly again, but this time on the orange stamped vine. I cut out the wing pieces from the stamped butterfly and attached them to the butterfly I stamped on white cardstock. I decided I wanted these wing pieces to stand out a little more so I used my Y61 Copic Sketch Marker to add a peach background to the orange stamped vines. Smaller wing sections on the butterfly were colored in using a Copic 100 Black marker. I also colored in the body of the butterfly. I attached the butterfly to the center of the vine background. I used a foam tab to attach the butterfly. It makes the butterfly literally stand out from the background.

Lastly, I stamped, die cut and added a sentiment from the butterfly set. I attached it using foam tabs to match the butterfly dimension. I added faux stitching around the perimeter of the front panel using a black marker and attached the entire design to my card base.
