Bluebirds and A Rainbow for Brighter Days Ahead by Bobbi Lemanski

Bluebirds and A Rainbow for Brighter Days Ahead by Bobbi Lemanski - Honey Bee Stamps

A handmade card filled with cheerful details can brighten even the toughest days. Today’s card features a colorful rainbow stretching across the card front, sweet blue birds perched near a cozy birdhouse, yellow and pink florals and a heartfelt “Get Well Soon” message designed to send comfort and encouragement.

Spring colors, playful elements, and thoughtful layers come together to create a little paper hug, the perfect reminder that brighter days are ahead. This handmade creation delivers warmth, hope, and a touch of happiness right when it’s needed most. My card features the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this card, I stamped the birdhouse, birds, and florals from the Tweeties stamp set. I colored them using Copic Markers, adding a little siding to the birdhouse with horizontal lines and bright yellows for the florals. I die cut all the elements using the Tweeties Honey Cuts dies

I made the rainbow using watercolor paints and a paintbrush. I hand drew in the rainbow, allowing my paint to fade and blend with adjacent colors. Once the paint was dry, I added dashed lines over the rainbow using Copic Markers in the matching colors. I added the birds, birdhouse and flowers, using foam tabs behind the birdhouse/florals to make them stand out. I stamped the "Get Well Soon" from the Bloom & Buzz stamp set. I added a few specks of black in the upper left and the bottom of the right using my Copic 100 marker. I attached the card front to the card base to complete it.
