Hi friends. With winter almost behind us, fishing season is right around the corner. I love the new sets that Honey Bee Stamps just released in its Foundry & Field Release for men and fishing enthusiasts. I've made a couple of cards and gift card holders to share. For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.
Tackle Box 5" X 7" Card

I used the Lovely Layers: Tackle Box Honey Cuts Stand Alone dies to create this A7 greeting card. To create the front, I embossed a white 5" X 7" front card panel using the Cast Away 3D Embossing Folder. I used my blender brushes (large and small) and Ranger Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to color the background blue. I used my Copic B000 and B00 markers to add the matching blue color between the netting rope. I rubbed a little "dirt" over the ropes using a blender brush with a light amount of Walnut Stain on it. It helps the fish net look more worn and weathered.

I die cut and assembled the tackle box and contents using the Lovely Layers: Tackle Box Honey Cuts Stand Alone dies and the Display Box Tackle Add-On Honey Cust Stand Alone dies. Once everything was assembled and glued in place. I added a sandy-looking bottom to the card front using a sand colored cardstock. I blended some brown ink on the sand and white and black markings to make it look more like sand texture. I attached the fully stocked tackle box to the card front using foam tabs. I added the knife and a fishing hook to the bottom front of the box. Finally, I added two sentiments using the Hooked On You stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I attached the card front to a white card base.
Fishing Vest Shaped Card

I love that this fishing vest can be an A2-sized shaped card on it own. I die cut all the elements from the Lovely Layers: Fishing Vest A2 Card Base Honey Cuts Stand Alone dies from tan cardstock to create the vest. I added additional detailing using a darker tan color marker to the edges of the vest. I used olive and black cardstock for the zippers and zipper hardware. I used a fine-tip black marker to add the faux stitching detail around the pockets and the zippers.

On the outside, I added fishing tackle and fishing hooks using dies from the Display Box Tackle Add-On Honey Cust Stand Alone dies. I used metallic silver cardstock for the hooks to look more like metal. I also used a metallic silver pen to add details on the zippers, too.

On the inside of the vest, I used a plaid paper to add a fabric looking lining. The paper is from the new Urban Roots paper pack. I hand cut and hand wrote the "XL" vest tag. I also added a white band tag with faux stitching to the bottom of the vest. This band could be used to hold a gift card inside. The sentiment is from the Hooked On You stamp set.
Tackle Display Box Gift Card Holder

My last project is this fun display box that holds tackle and fishing supplies. I used the Display Box A2 Cover Plate Honey Cuts Stand Alone dies to make the A2 card. To do this, I cut in half and scored a medium sage green cardstock to create an A2 base. I cut the card base using the display box outline die, allowing the left side to "fall off" the scored edge, leaving the fold intact. I splattered black, white and green watercolor paint over the green base and set it aside to dry. The paint gives it a little more "grunge!"

I attached the gray tray with dividers die cut to the front of the A2 base. I die cut the hinges and the handle from a gold metallic cardstock. I used a gray-green marker to shadow around individual tackle boxes of the box. This creates depth for a more realistic look. I added all the tackle and supplies using the Display Box Tackle Add-On Honey Cuts Stand Alone dies. I added white highlights to the items using my white Gelly Roll pen. I used black Pearl Pen to add dimensional screws and fish eyes to the items.

Inside the display box gift cardholder, I added a fish net using the Netting A2 Cover Plate Honey Cuts Stand Alone die cut from a natural white cardstock. I blended Rusty Hinge around the edges of the net to make it look weathered. I made sure to glue all the bottom and side edges of the net then cut a slit in the center of the net to slide in the gift card. The fish net holds the gift card in place. The sentiment is from the Hooked On You stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies.
