Hello crafty friends. Bobbi Lemanski here sharing a little love at the sewing machine. I grew up with a mom that made custom wedding and bridesmaid dresses for brides. I remember having young woman and their moms come over for fittings before the big day. As a child, I thought my mom was an amazing seamstress. It was so fun to see all the different colors fabrics and pattern designs. Today's card is all about the seamstress and stitching love together. I'm using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:
Floral Easel stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Circle Embroidery Hoop dies
Sew Glad stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
In Stitches: Buttons Honey Cuts dies
Happy Hearts Gingham Pattern Paper Pad
For the basics... my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this 5" X 7" card, I started with a simple pattern on the card base. I used a Antique Linen ink and a stamp from the Floral Easel stamp set. I added hand-drawn tan dots for the pattern design using a fine-tip marker.
For the focal design, I stamped, colored and die cut the sewing machine and pin cushion using the Floral Easel stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I colored the images using Copic Markers in YG67, YG17, YG03, R20, R22, R14, C5, C3, C1, E59, E57 and E55. I added a floral design on the pin cushion by hand-drawing roses on the cushion fabric. I reminds me of a pin cushion I had growing up.

I die cut the embroidery hoop and fabrics using the Lovely Layers: Circle Embroidery Hoop dies, white cardstock and tan gingham paper. I added some shading to the gingham paper using Copic markers E42, E43 and E55 to emphasize the cinched fabric pleats. I layered the elements together and attached the sewing machine and pin cushion to the hoop design using foam tabs. I attached it to the pattern card base front.
I used the In Stitches: Buttons Honey Cuts dies to die cut nine heart-shaped buttons from gingham cardstock. I sewed the buttons together using my sewing machine and white thread. (These could be hand-sewn instead.) I kept the threads long for texture. I attached the string of hearts under the needle of the sewing machine. Lastly, I added the sentiment using the stamp set, Sew Glad stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies to complete the card.
