Who says you can’t look fly while waddling through a winter wonderland? This silly goose is strutting his stuff through a snowy woodland scene, surrounded by towering pine trees and gently falling snow. He’s all bundled up for his winter adventure, sporting a pair of fuzzy earmuffs and some fabulous fur-lined winter boots that give him plenty of personality! I love the mix of the peaceful, wintry backdrop with this quirky little guy and his cozy cold-weather style. And of course, the “Looking Fly” sentiment is the perfect finishing touch for a goose who clearly knows how to make a fashion statement—even in the snow!

My card features the following new Honey Bee Stamps Fashionably Feathered release items beginning with the new fabulous die cutting machine:

For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Honeycomb Foam for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white acrylic pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this 5" X 7" card, I started by making this silly looking, but very cute goose. I used my new Bee Creative Platinum Scout Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut all the elements of the goose, using the Lovely Layers: Porch Goose - Honey Cuts Stand-Alone Dies. I also die cut his fashionable ear muffs and winter boots using the Porch Goose Closet: Winter - Honey Cuts Stand Alone Dies. I'm dressing this silly guy for the winter weather! I used this beautiful teal cardstock from the Hive Hues Urban Roots cardstock collection for the scarf. The red cardstock for the ear muffs is from the Hive Hues Make It Merry Collection. I assembled the goose and outfitted him in his ear muffs, scarf and boots.

I wanted to put this silly goose into a scene so I created an outdoor winter wonderland. I blended ink on the top of the 5" X 7" white card front using Prize Ribbon and Black Soot. I kept the bottom of the card front white for a snowy landscape. I added pine trees using green and brown cardstock and the Lovely Layers: Pine Trees Honey Cuts Dies.

I attached the goose in the foreground using foam tabs and shaded under him using Copics C3 and C1 markers to anchor him to the snow scene. I stamped, die cut and attached the sentiment, "Looking fly" from the Rainy Day Smiles stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I splattered white ink over the goose and the entire scene for fresh falling snow. Lastly, I attached the card front to an A7 white card base.
