Eat Drink And Be Scary

Eat Drink And Be Scary

Hello, Honey Bee friends!! Brenda here with a fun, colorful Halloween card featuring the Lovely Layers: Bootini and Design Deck: Dividers Die Sets from the Acorn & Ember Release!!

I began by die-cutting all the elements in the Lovely Layers: Bootini Die Set from green, purple, orange, black and white cardstock. I added shading to the die-cuts with Mowed Lawn, Villainous Potion and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks using Beeluxe detail brushes, then adhered each element together with Bee Creative Glue. I used a white gel pen to add highlights and a black fine tip pen to draw in some of the details on the cork, pumpkin and skulls.

For the background, I embossed a panel of purple cardstock with the Tangled Web 3D Embossing Folder. I trimmed it slightly and rubbed a Bee Creative Brilliant White Pigment Ink Pad lightly over the surface to bring out the spider webs. I also die-cut some of the rectangles from the Design Deck: Dividers Die Set from purple cardstock. I splattered the background and the rectangles with diluted white bleed-proof ink and diluted black dye ink. The scalloped rectangles in the Design Deck: Dividers Die Set were cut from brushed black glitter cardstock. The scalloped rectangles were adhered to the corresponding purple rectangles, then they were adhered to the background with Bee Creative Glue. The Bootini die-cuts were popped up with foam squares.

The sentiment, from the Hocus Pocus Stamp Set (which is in the clearance section), was stamped onto white cardstock with black pigment ink. The Coordinating Die was used to cut it out and it was popped up with foam squares. Green pearls from the Celebration Pearl Sticker Pack were added as bubbles on the cocktail and a single orange pearl from the same pack was added to the center of the bow and this card was finished.

I hope you love this as much as I do!!

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me!!

Brenda
