Hello Bee friends. It's Bobbi with a "cute as a button" valentine. This card is literally filled with buttons in shades of pink and red. Right in the center is an adorable bear just waiting to give a big hug of love! I'm using the following products by Honey Bee Stamps:
Lovely Layers: Stitching Elements Honey Cuts dies
In Stitches: Buttons Honey Cuts dies
In Stitches Bookmarked Love & Light Honey Cuts dies
Sew Glad stamp set and coordinating Sew Glad Honey Cuts dies
Floral Heart 3D Embossing Folder and coordinating die set
For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Fohttps://honeybeestamps.com/products/neenah-80lb-classic-crest-cardstock-8-5x11-20-sheets?_pos=1&_sid=23ec68716&_ss=r&sca_ref=7484015.KbzEC3zUZuam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this card, I embossed a 5" X 7" piece of white cardstock using the Floral Heart 3D Embossing Folder and coordinating die set. I also die cut a separate white heart using the coordinating heart die that comes with the set. This "non-embossed" heart is what I used to glue the hearts on for the button-covered heart.
I die cut lots of mini buttons from various red, white and pink scraps of cardstock. I used the smaller four button designs from the Lovely Layers: Stitching Elements Honey Cuts die set. I also die cut one butterfly button from the same set. This one will be put up in the upper right corner later. I glued all the buttons to the non-embossed white heart starting from the top of the heart and heading down to the bottom, overlapping the buttons. While these buttons are smaller and require more die cuts, I could have also used the In Stitches: Buttons Honey Cuts dies for bigger-sized buttons that offer more coverage. Another option is to mix the two sizes together. All three ways would look great!

I die cut the smaller sized bear from the Heart Hugs Honey Cuts die set from white cardstock. I cut the nose and eyes from black cardstock and glued them in place. I like to give my animals a little white highlight on the nose using my white Gelly Roll pen. I inserted the bear in the center of the heart, glued more buttons all around the bear, from top of the heart to the bottom of the heart until the heart was fully covered.
I added a red heart and a pink flower button to the bear's hands. The elongated red heart was cut using a die from the In Stitches Bookmarked Love & Light Honey Cuts dies. I chose this heart because of its beautiful intricate design that is different from the embossed background and the mini buttons. I also die cut a pink, and mauve heart using this same die for the corner heart designs at the right top and left bottom areas. I'll add those later.
I attached the big heart with the buttons and the bear to the center of the embossed background using foam tabs to make it stand out from the embossed background. I attached the entire front panel to a white 5" X 7" folded card base.

I added the two sentiments, stamped in black, using the Sew Glad stamp set and coordinating Sew Glad Honey Cuts dies to the top and bottom of the card. I added two vignettes of hearts in the opposite corners using the solid elongated heart from the Heart Hugs Honey Cuts die set along with the In Stitches Bookmarked Love & Light Honey Cuts dies hearts and extra flower button. The butterfly button was also added to the top.
