Go big, go bright, and don’t hold back on the color! My card features one oversized bloom bursting with vibrant hues and layers of beautiful drawn texture. Set against a background of dreamy ocean blues, the flower practically jumps off the card with its bold mix of color and pattern. I love how the cool, watery backdrop lets every colorful detail of the bloom shine.
And the color doesn’t stop on the outside! Open the card to find even more bold, happy color! I'm using patterned papers featuring artistic watercolor washes and fresh, modern designs to make this card full of life. It’s a colorful surprise from the outside in, with plenty of pattern, texture and personality in every little detail!

Signature Surfaces Giveaway!
The patterned papers I'm using are from the Signature Surfaces Pattern Paper Pad, featuring unique papers designed by me other Honey Bee Stamps designers. I'm using two of my very own designs on this card. And here’s the fun part—I’m giving away a Signature Surfaces Pattern Paper Pad to one lucky winner! For your chance to win, simply type “Signature” in the comments. I’ll randomly select one winner from all comments through Thursday, September 3 on Instagram and this blog post and notify the winner on Friday, September 4, 2026. Good luck!
My card features the following Honey Bee Stamps products.
Summer Smiles stamp set and coordinating dies
For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Honeycomb Foam for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white acrylic pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.

To make this 5" X 7" card, I stamped and colored the large floral from the Summer Smiles stamp set. I used the Summer Smiles Stencil Set to color the floral. Instead of using one color in multiple shades, I used multiple colors to color the petals and leaves. I used my blender brushes (large and small) and the following Distress Oxide Inks: Salvaged Patina, Crushed Olive, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry, and Mermaid Lagoon to color the design. Once the flower was colored, I used my Copic Markers in matching colors to add additional dimension by adding patterns to the large petals ( Copic YG67 on Mowed Lawn and Y19 on the Fossilized Amber) I used my white ink pen to add dots, lines and more pattern to the other colors, too. I also used the stencils to splatter on color on specific areas of the flower. All of these layers give the flower a more modern and interesting look, different from a more realistic and expected coloring.
You can watch my reel to see all the colors I used here.

For the background, I chose one of the papers I designed for the Signature Surfaces Pattern Paper Pad. It is a watercolor piece using ocean blues trickling down the paper. I cut a piece 5" wide X 4" tall and glued it to the bottom of my A7 white card base. I attached the flower die cut to the card front using foam tabs. I stamped, die cut and attached in the lower right corner, the "thinking of you" sentiment using the Summer Smiles stamp set and coordinating dies. I die cut three additional outline cuts from white cardstock, stacked and glued them together to make the sentiment thicker. Small gem sticker pearls in green and pink were added around the flowers.

Inside of the card, I cut another piece of pattern paper that I designed for the pad to 4-7/8" wide X 7" tall and attached it to the inside of the card base. I stamped a cute sentiment on the pattern from the stamp set, Berry Sweet Summer stamp set. I love the how the bold colors in the inside match with the outside. It's a little coordinated surprise inside!
