Hello, crafters! If you have not seen the latest "Foundry and Field" collection by Honey Bee Stamps, just wait! This masculine-themed release has lots of fun stuff to make masculine cards and/or cards for those loving grilling, automotive, fishing, man caves, bars, drinks and more. One of the new products, "Lovely Layers: Outdoor Kitchen Honey Cuts dies" was designed to work with a previously released set called, "Lovely Layers: Front Porch Honey Cuts dies.
To make this 5" X 7" outdoor kitchen card, I used the following Honey Bee Stamps products:
Lovely Layers: Outdoor Kitchen Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Front Porch Honey Cuts dies
Game Time stamp set and Game Time Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Fireplace Lodge Add-On - Honey Cuts - Stand-Alone Dies
Lovely Layers: Wet Bar Add-On Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Man Cave Honey Cuts dies
For the basics... my Honey Bee Stamps featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.
Outdoor Kitchen Structure

To make this 5" X 7" card, I started by making the Front Porch using the Lovely Layers: Front Porch Honey Cuts dies. There is a layering guide on the website here that will help with the assembly. This front porch was transformed into an outdoor kitchen structure. Instead of adding the door, outdoor light, etc., I kept it open inside to add the outdoor kitchen.
For the cedar pieces of the structure, I colored the die cut cardstock with Copics using YR27, YR24, E55, E57 and E43. For the field stones on the back wall and the post support bases, I colored each individual stone using a range of warm and cool grays, W3-W6 and C3-C8 as well as E55 and E57. I added some black and white dots to the stones for some texture. I colored the shingles in a dark brown using E47.
I assembled all the pieces. I kept the back wall and the front of the structure separate so that I could later insert the kitchen unit. I added the skull to the peak of the front of the structure using a die from the Lovely Layers: Fireplace Lodge Add-On - Honey Cuts - Stand-Alone Dies.
Outdoor Kitchen Unit

Inside the stone and cedar structure, I added a kitchen. I used the Lovely Layers: Outdoor Kitchen Honey Cuts dies to create the elements along with cardstock in black, white, natural white, gray and metallic silver. I cut all the elements and assembled the kitchen. Because the sides of the kitchen unit will be covered by the two front pillars, I moved the oven to the center and the hand tools to the right side. I also put the cutting boards directly above the oven to show off. The Layering Guides offers different examples of ways you can assemble the kitchen.
I attached the kitchen to the back wall of the structure and attached the front of the structure using foam tabs over the kitchen. By using the foam tabs, the structure's roof and front pillars sit out in front of the kitchen appliances, giving the kitchen dimension.
Card Background

For the background, I used a pattern paper in blues from the Urban Roots Paper Pad. It resembles clouds in the sky. I used a strip of dark green for the lawn in the background. Lastly, I added a 1" strip of warm gray cardstock and drew in landscape tiles for the "floor" of the kitchen and around the structure. To create the tiles, I used a marker and ruler to create the tiled squares. I added some dots and shading to give them some texture.
I added two sentiments using the Game Time stamp set and Game Time Honey Cuts dies. I also thought the outdoor kitchen should have one cold mug of beer in case the chef gets thirsty. I used the dies from the Lovely Layers: Man Cave Honey Cuts dies to create the frothy beer.

I also thought the barrel in the front was a fun extra accessory. I added this one on the left using the Lovely Layers: Wet Bar Add-On Honey Cuts dies.
Another Outdoor Kitchen Card Idea...

For this 5" X 7" card, I used only the Kitchen without the kitchen structure. I used the Rustic Brick Embossing Folder for the background. The potted plant and beer mug is from the Lovely Layers: Man Cave Honey Cuts dies.

I hand-colored the wood decking boards using the colors I used for the cedar on the porch in the first card and used a strip of pattern paper at the very bottom. Notice: I mounted the grilling holder and tools on the brick background wall.
