Hello friends. It's Bobbi here with a greeting filled with a beautiful and bold background along with some gorgeous butterflies. I made this 5" X 7" greeting card using products from the new Cottage Countryside release by Honey Bee Stamps including:
Bold Background: Chinoiserie - Stand Alone Honey Cuts
Lovely Layers: Butterflies Honey Cuts dies
Heartfelt Condolences stamps and Honey Cuts dies
Antique Layering Frames Stand Alone Honey Cuts dies
For the basics... my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5" X 7" in size.
To create this 5" X 7" card, I die cut the Bold Background: Chinoiserie - Stand Alone Honey Cuts elements from a green and light peach cardstock. I added color to the die cuts using Distress Oxide Inks in Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Saltwater Taffy. I also added additional shading and highlighting using Copic Markers and white ink. The background was assembled, using a foam dot between two layers on two of the roses to make them stand out for dimension. I splattered some white paint over the top
I also die cut two butterflies using the Lovely Layers: Butterflies Honey Cuts dies. I used an orange cardstock and added darker shading using a YR09 and R14 and 100 Copic Marker. I added black and white dots using a fine-tip black marker and my white Gelly Roll pen. I attached the butterflies to the background using a Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab.
I attached the butterflies and vines to a white background. I used the Antique Layering Frames Stand Alone Honey Cuts dies and white cardstock to create this background. I attached the entire framed design to a light aqua front panel. I attached the front panel to a white card base. I stamped a sentiment using the Heartfelt Condolences stamps and Honey Cuts dies and added some pretty orange/red pearl gem stickers around the florals.
